Level 1 / Horde
Ever wondered how to get your hundreds of tyranid hormagaunts or imperial guardsmen onto the table in tournament acceptable paintjobs? That’s what Horde is for.
Stages of Painting Included
- A simple but neat basecoat comprising several colours
- A single wash applied to provide basic recessing all over the model.
- A pass of drybrushing to pick out edges.
Level 2 / High Tabletop
Our most commonly requested service, High Tabletop is intended to be our baseline for general model work and aimed at models that are for play.
Stages of Painting Included
- A complete basecoat comprising all colours appropriate to the model.
- An airbrushed preshade over the primary armour colour. (if Required)
- Targeted washes to all appropriate colours.
- Highlighting comprises a mixture of drybrushing and careful edge highlighting to keep this stage effective yet efficient.
- Prominent detail is painted including insignia, teeth, claws and so on.
Level 3 / Display
Another very commonly requested level. Level 3 is for when your models are going to be used for play, but may also see time on display when not turning enemies in steaming piles of cube diced bacon.
Stages of Painting Included
- A complete basecoat comprising all colours appropriate to the model.
- An airbrushed preshade over the primary armour colour.
- Targeted washes to all appropriate colours.
- Highlighting is primarily achieved using individually brushed edge highlighting.
- All detail on a model will be carefully painted.
- Smooth colour transitions may be applied using a mixture of airbrush or wet blending effects at the artists discretion.
Level 4 / High Display
This standard is for miniatures that are primarily about being displayed in a case, where you want our artists to push every detail and blend possible. Working times and resultant prices can vary wildly at this level, so we consider level 4 requests on a case by case basis.

- A complete basecoat comprising all colours appropriate to the model.
- An airbrushed preshade over the primary armour colour.
- Targeted washes to all appropriate colours.
- Highlighting is only achieved using individually brushed edge highlighting.
- All detail on a model will be carefully painted.
- Level 4 will see the most usage of more time consuming techniques including airbrushed glows and effects, stencil usage and wet blending. The artist will combine a variety of effects and materials to ensure the model is pushed to a highly pleasing appearance suitable for primarily being used for display.
